Atkinson County Citizen - October 22, 2015
  Mr. Jerry Alan Harper, age 68 of Willacoochee, passed away Monday, October 5, 
2015, at Carl Vinson VA Medical in Dublin, GA following an extended illness.
 A native of Los Angeles, CA., Mr. Harper was born May 2, 1947, son of Lester 
and Arline Robinson Harper. Her retired from the U.S. Army after serving 30 
years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army he 
worked for the Veterans Administration for several years. In addition to his 
parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Harper.
 Survivors include, wife Sylvia Crews Harper of Willacoochee; two daughters, 
Janice Alavrez of Riverside, CA, Jennifer Zamor of San Bernardino, CA; Step-son 
Chip Townsend of Douglas; three sisters, Janice Cox of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Reece 
of Topock, AX, Sandy Schrey of Valencia, CA; five grandchildren, one great-
grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
 Memorial services for Mr. Harper were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 
2015, at The Church of God in Millwood, GA with Rev. Shelton Cox officiating.
 Relihan Funeral of Pearson was in charge of the arrangements.
