Atkinson County Citizen - April 21, 2005
 Mr. Johnny C. Harrell, age 69, of Pearson, GA passed away Sunday, April 10, 
2005 at home, following an extended illness.

 A native of Atkinson Co., Mr. Harrell was born January 18, 1936, son of Elias 
and Millie Carver Harrell. He was a retired carpenter and U.S. Army Veteran. 
Mr. Harrell was a member of Goodwill Assembly of God Church in Pearson, GA.

 Survivors included wife, Margie Wilson Harrell of Pearson; two daughters, 
Melanie Gurley and husband Ricky of Axson, GA and Ellen Purvis and husband Ted 
of Axson, GA; brother, Elias Harrell of Grant, FL; sister, Mildred Corbitt of 
Pearson, GA and one grandchild, Joshua Gurley. Several nieces and nephews also 
survive.

 Funeral services for Mr. Harrell were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005 
at the Goodwill Assembly of God Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Charles 
Hardeman and Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special musical selections 
included "Go Rest High On That Mountain" and "Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold My Body 
Down" rendered by soloist, Tammy Wood with taped accompaniment and "Amazing 
Grace" rendered by Tammy Wood, Bobbie Hardeman and Donna Hardeman with Lynn 
Hardeman accompanying on the keyboard. Soft music for the prelude and postlude 
was provide by Lynn Hardeman, pianist. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant 
Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were David Taylor, Bruce Corbitt, Carlton Taft, 
Myles Corbitt, Kevin Neugent, and Brett Mizell.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
