Atkinson County Citizen - March 31, 2011
 Druecilla W. Hayes, 77, died Thursday morning (March 24, 2011) at Satilla Reg
Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. 
 She was a native of Willacoochee in Atkinson County but had lived most of her li
life in Ware County. She was the daughter of the late Cleve Warren and Linda Gr
Grantham Warren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Alston Wa
Warren and a sister, Gertrude Adams. 
 She retired in 1994 as a quality assurance clerk with King Edward Cigar Co a
after thirty eight years of service. She was a member of Deenwood Baptist C
Church and the Evelyn Ely Willing Workers Sunday School Class. 
 Survivors include her husband of fifty four years Vernis Hayes of Waycross; a 
daughter, Terresa Skipper (husband Duane) of Waycross; a son, Mike Hayes (wife 
Debbie) of Homerville; three grandchildren, Tiffany Crosby (husband Thomas) of 
Bickley, Jennifer Dixon of Homerville, and Marisa Hayes of Homerville; a great 
grandson, Thomas Gardner "Trace" Crosby, IV; a sister, Juanita Davis of 
Willacoochee, a sister-in-law, Mary Helen Warren of Willacoochee, and numerous
niece
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
 A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday (March 26, 2011) at Music Fune
Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Willacoochee Cemetery. Members of
t
of the Evelyn Ely Willing Workers Sunday School Class and active and former empl
employees of King Edward Cigar are asked to gather at the Music Funeral Home Chap
Chapel at 10:30 AM Saturday to serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will rece
receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Music Funeral Home.
