Atkinson County Citizen - March 6, 2014
 Mr. Leroy Jackson, Jr. was buried at Jowers Cemetery, Atkinson Co., GA.
 Mr. Leroy Jackson, Jr. age 53, of Pearson, GA, passed away Saturday, February 
22, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Jackson was born July 12, 1960, son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Leroy Sr., and Annie Lee McDonald Jackson. He was a dairy worker and always 
enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
 Survivors include, father, Melvin Vinson Luke of Pearson, G; wife, Teresa 
Benton of Pearson, GA; 2 sons, Darryl and wife Samantha Jackson of Pearson of 
Pearson, GA,  and Michael Benton; 2 daughters, Leann Jackson of Pearson, Ga and 
Kimbra Jackson of Pearson of Pearson, GA; brother, Mack Luke of Utah and 5 
sisters, Marsha j. Pate of Douglas, GA, Martha Sue Hutchinson of Douglas, GA, 
Cathy Chaney of Pearson, GA, Teresa Luke of Tampa, FL and Cheryl Luke of 
California; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Jackson were held Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 
Saving Grace Church at 3 p.m. with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Special 
musical selections included. "Amazing Grace" and "Daddy Hands" rendered by Misty 
McClellan with cd accompaniment. 
 The Interment followed in Jowers Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Leroy Darryl Jackson, Michael Benton, Clay 
Browning, Cage Roberts, Bobby Courson, Allen Hutchinson.
 Serving as honorary pallbearers were Mark Holder, Austin Hiers, Stevie Davis, 
Paul miller, Nel Nipper.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements
