Atkinson County Citizen - January 2006
 Mrs. Margarita DeLeon Jimenez, age 67 of Pearson, GA passed away Saturday, 
December 31, 2005 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an 
extended illness.

 A native of San Antonio, TX, Mrs. Jimenez was born June 9, 1938 daughter of 
Juan and Eloisia DeLeon. She was a retired environmental service employee and a 
member of the Goodwill Assembly of God Church in Pearson, GA.

 Survivors include her husband, Eligio Jimenez of Pearson, GA; three sons, 
Johnny Garcia and Daniel Garcia of Milwaukee, WI and Rene Rodriguez of Hounton, 
TX; eight daughters, Aphelia Garcia, Rosie Garcia, Linda Garcia, Victoria 
Garcia and Maria Elena Garcia of Milwaukee, WI, Delia Garcia of Ft. Lauderdale, 
FL and Maria Magdalena DeLeon and Irene Rodriguez of Pearson, GA; five 
brothers, Frank DeLeon of San Antonio, TX, Juan DeLeon, Alex DeLeon, Ralph 
DeLeon and Tony DeLeon of Milwaukee, WI; and three sisters, Susan DeLeon of 
Milwaukee, WI, Manuela DeLeon and Teresa DeLeon of San Antonio, TX, 34 
grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also 
survive.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Jimenez were held at 2 p.m. January 2, 2006 at the 
Goodwill Assembly of God Church with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating.

 Special musical selections included "Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down" 
and "Leavin, On My Mind" rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with taped 
accompaniment. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by tape. 
The interment followed in Antioch Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Johnny Garcia, Adan Velazquez, Ralph 
DeLeon, Jose Arredondo, Stanley Regalado and Antonio DeLeon.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
