Atkinson County Citizen - September 9, 2011
 Mrs. Eliza Davis Joyce age 88 of Pearson, GA passed away Tuesday, August 30, 20
2011 at Shady Acres Convalescent Center in Douglas, GA following an extended il
illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, GA, Mrs. Joyce was born on March 30, 1925, d
daughter of John and Mamie McKinnon Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of R
Refuge Primitive Baptist Church in Pearson, GA. Mrs. Joyce was preceded in d
death by her husband, Mr. Chester Joyce.
 Survivors include two sons, James Joyce and wife, Betty of Pearson, GA and 
Beecher Wayne Morris and wife, Earlene of Green Cove Springs, FL; brother, 
Edwin Davis and wife Janice of Pearson, GA, and five grandchildren, April 
Barlow, Mark Joyce, Andy Morris, Peter Morris and Lynn Morris; eight great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive
 Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce were held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at
Refuge Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Special music
selections included

by the Primitive Baptist Church Singers. 
 The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Lamar Davis, Jonathon Davis, Troy Davis, Joe
Joey Morris, Cleveland Register, Roy Haskins.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
