Atkinson County Citizen - January 12, 2006
 Mr. Ledford, age 82, of 6907 Glenmoor Drive, died January 1, 2006 at his 
residence. He was born in Bryson City, NC a son to the late Hobert and Ollie 
Wright Ledford.
 Funeral services for Mr. Ledford were held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 
Thrift Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Lathan and Rev. Ray Pennell officiating. 
Interment followed in Forrest Lawn West Cemetery and the family received 
friends one hour prior to the services held at the church.
 Mr. Ledford was a retired sales representative with Western-Southern Insurance 
Company and played baseball during his youth. he was a life long golfer and a 
life long member of Thrift Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ledford, formerly of Pearson, GA and who 
is formerly known as Mary Ann Wall; son, Jerry Ledford and wife Vicki of Mt. 
Holly; stepson, Steve McCorie of Johnson City, TN; stepdaughter, Kathy Hunt and 
husband, Jerry Jr. of Alexis, NC; brother, Homer Ledford and wife, Lou of 
Charlotte, NC; sister, Grace Hipp of Denver, NC; four grandsons, Brian, Jody, 
Kevin, Brian Ledford; three step granddaughters, Dana Slawter, Amy Oxendine, 
Katie Roysdon; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Ledford was preceded in death by 
daughter Judy Lynn Ledford and brother Odie Ledford.
 Carothers Funeral Home of Mt. Holly was in charge of arrangements.
