Atkinson County Citizen - January 24, 2013
Mrs. Lena Carlene Lefan, age 51, of Axson, GA passed away, Thursday, January 
17, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA following a short illness.
 A native of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Lefan was born October 31, 1961, daughter 
of Sam and Margie Yawn Summey. She was a bus river and worked in the 
Maintenance Department for the Atkinson Co. School System. Mrs. Lefan enjoyed 
being with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving, 
caring person to all who knew her. Mrs. Lefan’s sweet spirit will be greatly 
missed but always remembered.
 Survivors include husband, James Larry Lefan, Jr. of Axson, GA.; son, Larry Lefan
Lefan and wife Melissa of Douglas, GA; daughter Aja Merrell and husband Noah of
Axson
Axson, GA; 2 brothers Sambo Summey of Callahan, GA and Keith Brink of Griffin, 
GA; sister, Charlene Jones of Jacksonville, FL; 5 grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews also survive.
 A memorial funeral service for Mrs. Lefan will be held, Saturday, January 26, 
2013 at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Steve Sirmans
Sirmans officiating.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
