Mrs. Inez S. Luke, age 87, of Rt. 1, Axson, GA., passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 
1993 at Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA. following a brief illness.
 Born June 3, 1906, in Berrien Co., GA, Mrs. Luke was the daughter of the late 
Dan and Nancy Rowe Spikes. She had made her home in the Atkinson Co. area for 
most of her life and was a member of Hargreaves Chapel New Congregational 
Methodist Church. Her husband was the late Hancel Luke.
 Survivors include 2 daughters: Louise Luke Burch of Axson, GA; Mary Jane 
Joyner of Pearson, GA; 1 son, Barnes Luke of Axson, GA; 2 sisters: Janie 
Bennett of Pearson, GA., Lelia Farmer of St. Mary's, GA.; 2 brothers: Earl 
Spikes of Waycross, Ga., Cliff Spikes of Axson, GA; 4 grandchildren; several 
nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Luke were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 1993 at 
Hargraves Chapel Church with Rev. Clayton Davis officiating. Musical 
selections "Consider the Lillies" and "Precious Memories" were rendered by the 
Bennett Family accompanies by Betty Gail Davis pianist. The interment followed 
in the Hargraves Chapel Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Ronnie Spikes, Donnie Spikes, Bobby 
Spikes, Danny Johnson, Steve White, Randall White and Jeffery White.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA. was in charge of arrangements.
