Atkinson County Citizen - April 10, 2004
 Mr. Norman "Buddy" Luke age 69, of Willacoochee, Georgia passed away Saturday 
morning April 10, 2004 at his residence following an extended illness.  Mr. 
Luke was born May 26, 1934 in Berrien County, Ga., the son of Oel Byrd and Adell
Adell Taylor Luke.  He was a retired farmer and had worked in law enforcement 
for many years.  He attended Ozias Freewill Baptist Church.  Mr. Luke was 
preceded in death by a brother, Harry Luke and a sister Sara Luke Corbitt.
 Survivors include his wife, Anna Sue Guthrie Luke of Willacoochee; two sons, 
Wesley Luke and wife Anna G. of Waycross, Ga., and Randall Luke and wife Bertha 
of Davenport, Florida; Three daughters, Norma Lynne Vickers of Pearson, Ga., 
Ava Christine Lee and husband Gary of Poetry, Texas, and Charity Margaret 
McDonald and husband Jamie of Ambrose, Ga; Two brothers, James Wilton Luke and 
Kenneth Luke , both of Willacoochee, Ga.; seven sisters, Mary Lou Barnard of 
Jacksonville, Fl., Doris Guthrie of Pearson, Neta O'Berry of Cochran, Ga., 
Linda Stephens of Hawkinsville, Ga., Martha Vazquez of Willacoochee, Ga., Joyce A
Ann Martin of Graniteville, S. C. and Debbie Luke of Nashville, Ga.; 19 g
grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also s
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Luke were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Ozias
Ozias Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Johnson, Rev. Herschell Smith and 
Rev. Willie Daniel Guthrie officiating.  The interment followed in Riverside 
Cemetery in Berrien County,   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of a
arrangements.
