Mrs. Mancil was born April 20, 1951, to the late Custer Coonts and the late Noble Maupins Coonts. Mrs. Mancil, a native of Mount Judea, Newton County, Arkansas, had lived in the Pearson area for many years. She worked with the Coffee County Health Department as an L.P.N. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Kristian Ashlee Mizell. Mrs. Mancil was a member of the Southview Church of God. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William “Mickey” Mancil of Pearson, GA; three daughters, Sandy Sweat of Pearson, GA, Renee Mizell of Axson, GA, and Lynn Gieger of Douglas, GA; sister, Darlene C. McCutcheon of Arkansas; brother, Michael Lynn Coonets of Arkansas; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Hilton Martin and Rev. Raymond Cason officiating. A special poem was presented by Joyce Roberts. The interment followed in the Satilla Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were William “Mickey” Mancil, Kameron Cason, Jesse Pittman, Aaron Morris, Sammy Sweat, Kody Mizell. Honorary pallbearers were Betty Lofton, Betty Joyce, Francine Fender, Jimmie Lee Snoddy, Alma Busby, Marie Martin, Audrey Ponsell, Bonnie Burke, Ernie Jean Chancey, Jane Barrineaau, Lee Hall. Special musical selections, “Keeper of The Stars,” and “Dancing in The Sky,” were presented by CD music. At the graveside, “Amazing Grace,” was rendered acappela by Marie Martin and the congregation. Ricketson Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
