 Brother Curtis Lee McCutchen (Welch) age 75, of Pearson, GA passed away Monda
Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home.
 Born October 11, 1937, he was the son of Rev. Horace Welch, Sr., Susie M. Welc
Welch, and Elizabeth Permenter.
 Mr. McCutchen attended school in Clinch County and was a member of Allen Cha
Chapel AME Church in Sandybottom, GA where he faithfully served on the Trustee and
and Usher Boards. He worked for more than 30 years as a brick mason with Lewis Con
Construction Company and Design Space in Douglas, GA.
 He was preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Morris of Miami, FL and two ch
children, Robin Ann Terri formerly of Homerville, GA and Sharon (Curtis) Mc
McCutchen Jones. 
 He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted sister, Mary Welch Godwin of P
Pearson, GA; brothers, Rev. Horace Welch of Waycross, GA and Thomas (Nellie) W
Welch of Cuthbert, GA.
 A devoted and loving father, he leaves seven children to mourn his passing, 
Betty (Sylvester) McCutchen-Larken, JoAnn McCutchen-Askew, Annette Brinson-Reid,
Bridgette A. Brinson, Gloria McCutchen, Curtis Leon McCutchen and Curtis Demetrius
McCutchen of Miami, FL; a very special nephew, Rev. Michael Godwin of Pearson, GA. A
vast of grandchildren and great
Reid, Bridgette A. Brinson, Gloria McCutchen, Curtis Leon McCutchen and Curtis 
Demetrius McCutchen of Miami, FL; a very special nephew, Rev. Michael Godwin of 
Pearson, GA. A vast of grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many
nieces,
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
 Services were held at the St. James AME Church in Pearson, GA, Pastor Felecia
Brocki
Brockington and Rev. Bettye D. Williams presided over his homegoing with Elder C.
Bur
C. Burch and Rev. Jake Minor presenting the scriptures followed by prayer with Rev.
V
Rev. Virgil Scott. Acknowledgements and Resolution were presented by Dorothy L.
Vicker
Vickers and Yvonne Holmes. Special music was presented by the Allen Chapel and
Commun
Community Choir members with a solo by Ina D. Thomas. The Eulogy was presented by
Rev
by Rev. William Green.
 Interment followed at the Holmes Chapel Cemetery in Clinch County.
 Honorary pallbearers included Wendell Wilson, Joe Cooper, Rodney Jones, Curtis
Brow
Brown, Sr., Dan Fowler, Shelly Thomas, Willie James Cooper.
 Active pallbearers were Avery B. Holmes, Eugene Lofton, Houston Thompson, Ant
Anthony Vickers, Daryl Godwin, Dickie Godwin, Brian Colson, Ostella Pope.
 Welch and Brinkley Mortuary of Waycross, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
