Atkinson County Citizen - January 2004
 Mr. P.L. McDonald age 74 of Rt. l, Pearson, GA passed away Tuesday, January 
20, 2004 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL following a short illness.

 Born March 13, 1929 in Atkinson Co., Mr. McDonald was the son of Tom and Lucy 
Floyd McDonald. He was a retired farmer and security guard. He was an avid 
outdoorsman who loved hunting especially wildcat hunting with dogs. His church 
membership was at Holy Family Catholic Church.

 Survivors include; wife, Elouise Brown McDonald of Pearson, GA, 1 daughter, 
Elaine Stodghill and husband, Donald of Alapaha, GA; 2 sons, Lloyd McDonald and 
wife Elline of Pearson, GA and Roy McDonald and wife Linda of Pearson, GA.

 Seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews 
also survive.

 Funeral services for Mr. McDonald were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 
2004 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Daniel O'Connell and Rev. Mike 
Gibbs officiating. Special musical selections "I'll Fly Away," "On The Wings Of 
A Dove" and "Lord Build Me A Cabin" were rendered by Fred and Tom McDonald who 
accompanied themselves on the guitar. Michele White, organist play soft music 
for the Prelude and the Postlude. The interment followed in the Holy Family 
Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Lloyd McDonald, Roy McDonald, Matthew 
McDonald, Simon McDonald, William Stodghill and Donald Stodghill.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
