Born December 24, 1914 in a part of Coffee County that is now Atkinson County. Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of Jess and Mary Corbitt Wall. She was retired from Tift General Hospital after working for 35 years as a ward clerk. She was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years in the Nashville, GA Chapter and had also served as Chairman for the March of Dimes in Atkinson County. Her church membership was at Willacoochee United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband William Ottis McDonald, Sr. Survivors include, 1 son, Ottis McDonald, Jr. and wife Sally of Pearson, GA; 1 daughter, Venita Anne Cochran of Willacoochee; 5 grandchildren, Sherry Zeigler, Stanley Hughes, Erika Godwin, Joey McDonald and Joan Harvey. 11 great grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside funeral for Mrs. McDonald were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the Willacoochee City Cemetery with Rev. Edward Mathews and Rev. Eddie Morrison officiating. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
