A native of Coffee County, Mr. McKinnon was born May 25, 1934, son of Mr. and M Mrs. Dennis and Annie Gillespie McKinnon. He was a retired farmer. Mr. McKinnon w was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Henderson McKinnon and parents, M Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Annie Gillespie McKinnon. Survivors include, sons, Richie McKinnon and wife Danielle of Waynesville, GA, and Dusty McKinnon of Douglas, GA; daughter, Linda Tucker of Savannah, GA; step-son, Bobby Wright and wife Penny of Douglas, GA; step son, Bobby Wright and wife Penny of Douglas, GA; step-daughter, Bertha Corbitt and husband Johnny of Pearson, GA; brother, Lloyd McKinnon and wife Louise of Douglas, GA; sisters, Hazel Sims of Blackshear, GA, Mozel Fish of Douglas, GA and Lou Annie Tanner of Douglas, GA; 9 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren; s several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. McKinnon were held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Sunnyside Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Special musical selections included, “Wish You Were Here” rendered by soloist, Debi Braddy, with CD accompaniment. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was pr provided by Margaret Williams, pianist. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Robbie Stone, Tayman Stone, Mickey Braddy, Bobby Wright, Jr., Benny Reliford, John Tavell Courson.
