Durden dawned@dishmail.net January 14, 2008, 8:07 pm The Atkinson County Citizen, Pearson, GA Funeral services for Quincy McMillan, 66 conducted Monday, Dec. 21, 1964. Funeral services for Quincy McMillan who died at his home in Willacoochee last Saturday morning after an extended illness, were held Monday PM at the Willacoochee Baptist Church. Officiating were Rev. V. R. Meadows and Jim Duval. Burial was in the Paulk Cemetery, Coffee Co., GA. Pallbearers were: Lucius Jacobs, Bud O'Neal, Onis Morris, Howard Hodges, Amos Wingate and Gerald Lee. He was a retired farmer. A native of Coffee County he was the son of Jesse and Rebecca Purvis McMillan. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Stella Tucker McMillan, Willacoochee, two daughters, Florence Futch, Willacoochee; Florene Bobo, Forest Park, GA; three sons; Lawton McMillan, Alapaha; J. Q. McMillan, Willacoochee; Earl McMillan, Dallas, TX; 16 grandchildren. Additional Comments: This was my grandfather. After their children were grown they moved into the town of Willacoochee and the 2nd son, J.Q. (Jesse Quincy) and family moved into the home place. The cemetery where he is buried is Union Primitive Baptist Church but everyone calls it Paulk Cemetery.
