Atkinson County Citizen - November 2003
 Miss Faye Meeks age 65 of Pearson, GA passed away Monday, November 10, 2003 at 
Fitzgerald Nursing Home in Fitzgerald, GA following a short illness.

 Born March 29, 1938 in Atkinson County, Miss Meeks was the daughter of Rev. 
Hymric and Lena Mae Dampier Meeks. She was a member of Sweetwater United 
Methodist Church.

 Survivors include 3 sisters, Glenda Pittman and husband, D.Q. of Pearson, GA, 
Pauline Bowen and husband Buck, of Stockbridge, GA and Ruth Sitton and husband 
Lewis of Fayetteville, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Graveside funeral services for Miss Meeks were Held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, 
November 11, 2003 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Polk and Mr. D.Q. 
Pittman officiating. Special music included "Amazing Grace" rendered by all 
those attending and "Slippers With Wings" rendered by soloist D.Q. Pittman who 
accompanied himself on the guitar. The interment followed in the Sweetwater 
Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were. John Spivey, Harold Barnes, Bruce Brooker, 
Julian Haskins, Cleveland Register and Neal Gillis.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
