Atkinson County Citizen - September 13, 2007
 Mrs. Estelle Morgan Mercer, age 95, of Manor, GA, passed away Thursday, 
September 6, 2007, at Clinch County Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA 
following an extended illness.
 Mrs. Mercer was born January 2, 1912 in a part of Coffee County which is now 
Atkinson County, daughter of Randall B. and Nancy McLendon Morgan. She made her 
home in Lake City, FL before moving to Manor, GA seven years ago. Mrs. Mercer 
was a retired nursery worker and member of Camp Branch Church of God of 
Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Mercer and brother, 
David E. Morgan.
 Survivors include three granddaughters, Sue Alford of Grand Prairie, TX,, Mary 
(Bobbi) Lindsey of Ft. Worth, TX, and Linda Polk of Amarillo, TX; two 
grandsons, Ben Lindsey and wife Pat of Cairo, GA and Wayne Lindsey of 
Anchorage; a niece, Lillie L. Crumley of Manor, GA; daughter-in-law, Thelma 
Corbitt Lindsey of Amarillo, TX. Seven great grandchildren, 15 great-great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Mercer were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2007 
at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy in Manor, GA with Rev. Billy Cox 
officiating.
 Special musical selections included "Beulah Land" rendered by Brenda Dial, 
with Betsy Davis accompanying at the piano, "Amazing Grace" rendered acappela 
by the congregation. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by 
Betsy Davis, pianist. The eulogy was given by Geneva White. The interment 
followed at Camp Branch Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Danny Davis, Garrett Davis, Tim Lightfoot, 
Gene Corbitt, Kevin Davis, Kent Oliver.
 Serving as honorary pallbearers were Lehman Lee, Roger Stone, Larry Davis.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
