Atkinson County Citizen - May 17, 2012
 Mr. Bobby I. Minchew, age 69, of Willacoochee, GA passed away Thursday, May 1
10, 2012, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
 A native of Berrien County, GA, Mr. Minchew was born May 4, 1943, son of 
Herbert “Wilber” and Mary Metts Minchew. He had made his home in Jacksonville, F
FL and Brunswick, GA before moving to Willacoochee, GA in 1999.
 He was a graduate of UNF and had previously worked at SCM/Glidco Co. in 
Jacksonville and Brunswick. He was the former owner of ATIC Construction Inc. 
in Jacksonville and All Pro Rentals in Douglas, GA and was currently co-owner of
of T&M Heating and A/C in Willacoochee, GA. He was a former member of the Ro
Rotary Club in Brunswick. His church membership was at Willacoochee United Me
Methodist Church.
 He was preceded in death by brothers, Leon Minchew and Rudolph Minchew and s
sisters, Lola Hodges, Barbara Pittman and Winnie Thigpen. 
 Survivors include, wife Linda Minchew of Willacoochee, GA; sons, Jeff (Dawn) 
Minchew of Menlo, GA, Todd (Lisa) Minchew of Willacoochee, GA; daughter, Dana 
Smith of Brunswick, GA; brothers, Jeff Minchew of Toccoa, GA and Bill Minchew 
of Lake Park, GA; sisters, Betty Sirmans of Ringgold, GA and Nina Kileen of 
Lake Park, GA; 5 grandchildren, Amber and Kayla Minchew, Chadwick Hurston, Jr., 
Victoria Smith and Donna Leigh Minchew, 1 step-grandchild, Kasey Wheat and 2 
step-great-grandchildren, Olivia Wheat and Madilyn Wheat; several nieces and 
nephews also survive; mother-in-law, Idelle Bachelor of Deland, FL.
 Funeral services for Mr. Minchew were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 
Willacoochee United Methodist Church with Rev. Jan Conner officiating. Special 
musical selections included “Beulah Land” and “Sheltered In The Arms of God”
rendered by the 
rendered by the “Beulah Trio” with Beth Paulk accompanying at the 
piano. “Amazing Grace” was sung by the congregation. Soft music for the prelude and
t
and the postlude was provided by Beth Paulk, pianist.
 The interment followed in Mt. Paron Cemetery in Berrien County.
 Active pallbearers were Gary Thigpen, Gene Minchew, Brian Minchew, Michael Mar
Marinell, Kim Pittman, Craig Pittman.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
