Atkinson County Citizen - March 22, 2012
 Mr. James “Coon” Mizell age 61 of Axson, GA passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2
2012, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA following injuries that occurred in an a
accident in December 2011.
  Born March 14, 1950 Mr. James Mizell was the son of the late Roy Mizell and 
Sarah Crosby Mizell. He worked in construction and was preceded in death by his 
sister, Beulah (Tookie) Adams and his granddaughter, Kristen Mizell.
 Survivors; wife, Katherine Joiner Mizell of Axson, GA; daughter, Vicki Lynn 
Mizell of Axson; sons, James Bradley Mizell of Axson, GA, John Damon Mizell and 
wife Renee of Axson, GA and Roy Jeffery Mizell and wife Sarah of Rutledge, GA; 
mother, Sarah Crosby Mizell of Axson, GA; sisters, Anna Boone of Axson,GA and 
Madeline Dillingham and husband Glenn of Willacoochee, GA; brothers, Roy 
Mizell, Jr. and wife Doris of Axson, GA and Donald Mizell and wife Reba of 
Axson, GA; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews a
also survive.
 Graveside funeral services and interment for Mr. Mizell were held at 3 p.m., 
Friday, March 16, 2012 at Utah Cemetery with Rev. Hardy Crosby and Rev. Edward 
Mathews officiating. Special musical selections included “Come Just as You Are” by
Bridgette Moore with cd accompaniment, Guitar instrumental 
by Bridgette Moore with cd accompaniment, Guitar instrumental “What’s Been 
Going On” by Jarrad James and Ashley Whitley and “Amazing Grace” by Allen Jewel
Jewell with cd accompaniment.
 Active pallbearers were Damon Mizell, Derrick Dillingham, Kevin Dillingham, Eric
Eric Mizell, Travis Mizell, Lee Mizell, Frank Ray, David White, Macky White.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
