A native of Coffee County, Mrs. Mizell was born June 10, 1915, she was the daughter of Hardy and Luraine Wright Crosby. She had made her home in Axson, GA all of her life. She enjoyed cooking and looked forward to seeing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren stop by to visit and eat. She especially loved to fish and anytime she got the chance she went. She lived a long and fruitful life and enjoyed good health until a few days before her death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mizell, Sr.; daughter Beulah (Tookie) Adams; son James Olin (Coon) Mizell; 2 grandsons, Wayne Adams and Faron Faron Mizell; 2 great grandsons, Owen White and Kaine Dillinghham, and 2 great granddaughters, Kristin Mizell and Lauren Claire George. Survivors include 2 daughters Anna Boone of Axson, GA and Madeline Dillingham and husband Glenn of Willacoochee, GA; 2 sons Roy Mizell, Jr. and wife Doris of Axson Axson, GA and Donald Mizell and wife Reba of Axson, GA; daughter-in-law Katherine Mizell of Axson, GA; 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; 56 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephew also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Mizell were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Utah Cemetery with Rev. Edward Mathews and Elder David White officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace” presented by CD. The interment followed in Utah Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were grandson and great grandsons Damon Mizell, Brad Mizell, Jeffrey Mizell, Lee Mizell, Travis Mizell, Kevin Dillingham, Derrick Dillingham, Macky White, Eric Mizell, Clay Mizell.
