 Mrs. Dollie Strickland Mobley, 76, of Pearson passed away late Thursday e
evening, April 16, 2009 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended i
illness. A native of Pierce County, Mrs. Mobley had lived in Apopka, FL for m
many years working in the nursery industry before moving to Pearson ten years a
ago. She had a very special passion for flowers and gardening.
 She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ella Crawford Strickland, 
and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion W. Mobley; two sisters, 
Ollie Kirkland and Dephine Strickland; and two grandchildren, Crystal Wise and T
Tina Wise.
 She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Lewis (husband Donnie) of Pearson, 
Charlotte Wise (husband Glenn) of Orlando; son, James Wilton Mobley (wife 
Leanna) of Orlando; three sisters, Poile Tirrell of Waycross, Mollie Knight of 
Milan, Carlie Sloan (husband Robert) of St. Marys; five brothers, Charlie 
Strickland of Austell, Harlie Strickland (wife Sonja) of St. Marys, Farlie 
Strickland (wife Doris) of St. Marys, Tollie Strickland (wife Sue) of F
Fernandina Beach, Archie Strickland (wife Mary Ann) of Eastman; nine g
grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other r
relatives.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Mobley were held on Sunday afternoon April 19, 2009 
at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Pearson Dial Funeral Home. Interment was in the
Mershon
Mershon Cemetery.
 Pearson-Dial Funeral Home of Blackshear is in charge of the arrangements.
