Mrs. Morris was born in Berrien County, December 4, 1917, daughter of Ambers and Annie Anderson. She was a long time resident of Atkinson County where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pearson where she was active in the WMU for many years. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Morris and her son, Lee Morris. Survivors include two daughters, Latrelle Taylor and husband Donald of Savannah, GA and Sheila Anderson and husband Ronnie of Douglas, GA; and sister, Grace Douglas of Pearson, GA; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Morris were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Chris Carpenter officiating. Special musical selections included "How Great Thou Art" rendered by soloist David Anderson with Mary Ann Williams accompanying at the piano and Candace Brown accompanying on the organ, and "Amazing Grace" rendered by the congregation with Mary Ann Williams accompanying at the piano and Candace Brown accompanying on the organ. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Mary Ann Williams, pianist and Candace Brown, organist. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Donald Taylor, Ronnie Anderson, Rusty Taylor, Jayson Anderson, Sean Morris, Robby Bidwell, Jonathan Wright and Terry Morris.
