Atkinson County Citizen - July 19, 2007
 Miss Mary Claire Moseley, 83, passed away Sunday evening, July 15, 2007, at 
the Bayview Nursing Home.
 Born in Pearson, GA, she had lived in Fulton, Pierce and Wayne Counties for 
many years before moving back to Pierce County in 1984. Miss Moseley had lived 
at the Bayview Nursing Home from 1996 until her death. She was a 1945 graduate 
of the Grady Hospital School of Nursing and was also a 1961 graduate of the 
McLeod Infirmary School of Anesthesiology. From 1945 until 1961 Miss Moseley 
had worked at the Grady Hospital as an Emergency Room Supervisor and also as a 
House Supervisor. She had worked in the operating room of the Waycross Hospital 
as a nurse anesthetist for a few months in 1961 before going to work at the 
Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup where she worked as a nurse anesthetist until 
her retirement in 1986. She was a daughter of the late John Malcolm & Leafy 
Bazemore Moseley and was also preceded in death by her sister, Latrelle Griffis 
and both of her brothers, Hank Moseley and Joe Moseley. In Miss Moseley's later 
years she became an adopted member of the Edward and Peggy Taylor family.
 Survivors a sister-in-law, Peg Moseley of Phoenix, AZ; and her nieces and 
nephews, John R. and Jan Griffis of  Patterson, Erin & Clark Mattox of 
Blackshear, Joe and Bonnie Moseley of Summertown, GA, John and Nancy Moseley of 
Statesboro, Alex and Pat Moseley of Garfield, GA, Abbie Gail Moseley of 
Douglas, Pat Woods of Phoenix, Rick and Margaret Moseley of Munster, IN, Mary 
and Jock Lon of DeMott, IN, Kay Manly of Ashville, NC, and Richard and Robbie 
Parrish of Dover, FL.
 Funeral services for Miss Moseley will be held Thursday morning, July 19, 
2007, at 11 o'clock from the Pearson-Treadwell Chapel.
 Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
 Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
