Atkinson County Citizen - April 26, 2012
 Mr. G. F. Mullis, age 91, of Axson, GA passed away Thursday April 19, 2012 at Cof
Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an extended illness.
 A native of Pearson, GA, Mr. Mullis was born February 4, 1921 son of the late Ma
Marion and Millian (Tish) Starling Mullis. Mr. Mullis was a retired farmer and a 
a member of Axson Evangelistic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Ev
Evelene White Mullis.
 Survivors include daughter, Shirley (Hinky) Mathews of Pearson, GA; sons, F
Francis (Marie) Mullis of Axson, GA, Douglas (Almarie) of Axson, GA; 11 g
grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also s
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Mullis were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2013 at 
Axson Evangelistic Church with Rev. James Drake and Rev. Edward Mathews 
officiating. Special musical selections included “Beulah Land” and “Go Rest 
High on That Mountain” by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles on guitar, 
and “Amazing Grace” rendered by the attending congregation accompanied by Betsy
Davis
Davis, pianist. 
 The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Delane Mullis, Tyrone Mullis, Logan Fales, Larry Fal
Fales, John Rowe, Mark Spradley.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
