Atkinson County Citizen - April 24, 2008
 Mr. Donnie Carol Nelson, age 55, of Willacoochee, GA passed away on Monday, 
April 7, 2008 at home after a brief illness. Mr. Nelson, a native of Coffee 
Co., GA was born June 15, 1952; he is the son of the late Ezell Edward & Ella 
Mae Taylor Nelson. He is a retired security guard.
 Survivors include; wife, Sue Helen Pickard Nelson, Willacoochee, GA; 
stepchildren, Angela Elwell, Douglas, GA, Miranda Bottiggi, Willacoochee, GA, 
Marlana Bottiggi, Lenox, GA, Michael Maycrank, US Marine Corps, Tony Maycrank, 
Alma, GA; Sisters, Joyce Batten, Wanda Hodges & Joan Gillespie, Douglas, GA; 
brother, Billy Newham, Wallace Newham and Allen Nelson, Douglas, GA; ten 
grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
 A memorial service was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 
on Saturday, April 12, 2008 with Bishop Jamie James and Rev. Michael Paulk 
officiating.
