Atkinson County Citizen - December 20, 2014
Mr. Ronald Edward Parks age 51 of Lakeland, GA passed away Monday, December 15, 
2014, at his residence in Lakeland following an extended illness.
 A native of Broward County, FL, Mr. Parks was born February 21, 1963, son of 
Gladys Giddens Parks and the late Jamie Parks, Sr. He worked in the electronics 
field for many years, was a U.S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
 Survivors include: mother, Gladys Giddens Parks of Lakeland; four daughters, 
Jessica Parks, Michelle Parks, and Robyn Aldridge all of Moultrie, Stephanie 
Harden of Albany; brother Jamie E. Parks, Jr. of Hahira; sister, Bridget Coody 
of Valdosta; special friend, Mary Sue Jarvis and family of Lakeland; nine 
grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also 
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Parks were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunnyside Baptist 
Church in Kirkland, GA with Rev. Teddy Burch officiating. Special musical 
selections included “Simple Man,” “Drink a Beer” and “Brick Yard Road” all 
rendered by CD and “Amazing Grace” rendered by soloist, Kayleigh Lee, rendered 
acapella. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by CD. 
 The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Rodney Hufstetler, Michael Hufstetler, Bit 
Hufstetler, Tony Guerrero, Church Parks, Christopher Fehling.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
