Atkinson County Citizen - June 14, 2012
 Vance Alton Peterson, 62, of Darien, GA passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at the
the Brunswick Campus of Southeast Georgia Health System. A memorial service wil
will be held at 11 am. Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the Contentment Bluff Pav
Pavilion at Shellman Bluff in North McIntosh County. Family will receive fri
friends one hour prior to service time.
 Mr. Peterson was born May 13, 1950 in Douglas, GA to the late Henry Alton Pe
Peterson and Jean Young Peterson. He had been a resident of McIntosh County for tw
twenty seven years. Mr. Peterson was a graduate of Atkinson County High School an
and attended South Georgia College in Douglas, GA. He retired from Mock Pl
Plumbing and Mechanical as a sheet metal worker.
 Mr. Peterson was an avid fisherman that enjoyed boating and reading in his p
past time. He was also a member of the Kirkland Methodist Church.
 Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife Latrelle Peterson of Darien, GA; mother 
Jean Peterson of Pearson, GA; sister Jeannine Moss and husband Randall of 
Brunswick, GA; brother, Ray Peterson and wife Sharon of Pearson, GA; his 
brother-in-law Brice Morgan and wife Bobbie of Milledgeville, GA and several niec
nieces and nephews.
 Arrangements have been entrusted to Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home and Ogl
Oglethorpe Crematorium in Brunswick, GA.
