Her brother, Matthew “Matt” Horton age 23 passed away from injuries received in the same accident. Born April 28, 1981 in Douglas, GA, Kelly was the daughter of Darrell and Dean Harper Horton. She was a mother, homemaker and military wife who enjoyed fishing, hiking and especially the beach. She had recently moved back to Willacoochee after living in Hawaii. She was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Nashville, GA. Survivors include Staff Sgt. Terry Prescott, Jr. USMC of Willacoochee, GA; two daughters, Kaylyn Prescott and Joy Prescott of Willacoochee, GA; son, Alex Mancil Mancil of Willacoochee, GA; parents, Darrell and Dean Horton of Willacoochee, GA; three sisters, Heidi Mancil and husband Red of Willacoochee, GA, Amanda Horton and fiancé Pablo Castillo of Willacoochee, GA, and Laura Steverson and husband, Kevin of Willacoochee, GA; two brothers, Allen Horton of Willacoochee of Willacoochee and Danny Horton and wife Alicia of Willacoochee, GA; maternal grandmother, Doris Anderson of Willacoochee, GA; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Prescott were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Abundant Life Church in Nashville, GA with Pastor Raymond Cason, Rev. Michael Harper and Rev. Jerry Baldree officiating. Special musical selections included, “Meet me Halfway” by CD which included a slideshow of Kelly and Matt, “Mama” and “Address in the Stars” by CD, “Go Rest High on That Mountain” rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles accompanying on the guitar and rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles accompanying on the guitar and “Break Every Chain” rendered by soloist Jessica Whitaker who accompanied herself on the keyboard. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was played by Jessica Whitaker. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Jerry Baker, Josh Baker, Cody Davis, Jason Griffis Griffis, Kyle Starr, Donny Stone. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
