The Atkinson County Paper, Pearson, GA
 Mr. Leavy Edwin Roberts, age 88, of Willacoochee, GA, passed away Friday, 
February 10, 1995 at the Telfair County Hospital in McRae, GA, following an 
extended illness.
 Born April 5, 1906, in a part of Coffee County that is now Atkinson County, 
Mr. Roberts was the son of the late Robert Rowan and Laura Clements Roberts. He 
was a retired painter from Civil Service. He attended the Willacoochee Church 
of God. 
 Survivors include two sisters, Mary Corbett of Pearson, GA and Vera Yawn of 
Gardnersville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services for Mr. Roberts were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 
1995 at the Willacoochee Church of God with Rev. Wes Hardin, Rev. Bessie Lewis 
and Rev. Levi Jones officiating. A special song, "I'll Fly Away", was sung by 
the Willacoochee Church of God Choir with Ms. Kassie Paulk accompanying at the 
piano. Ms. Paulk also played soft piano music for the prelude and postlude.
 The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cmetery with Charles Jewell, 
Chester Hall, W. H. Stone, Junior Cooper, Jim Mills and Lauren Roberts serving 
as active pallbearers.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA, was in charge of arrangements.
