Atkinson County Citizen - January 2, 2014
 James Roberts was affectionately known as “Red” by all those who knew and loved 
him. 
 He was born to the proud parents of the late Thomas J. and Cassie L. Roberts on 
September 6, 1944.”"Red” was born in Axson, Atkinson County, GA. He was preceded 
in death by his brothers, Roscoe and Earnest Roberts; sisters Tommie Mae  
Taylor, Susie Williams, Mary D. Kemp and stepson, Darryl Denning. 
 On Friday, December 6, 2013, the Lord called James Roberts home to eternal 
rest. May his soul find peace, favor and acceptance with the Father.
 He leaves to cherish his memories, a living and devoted wife, Bernice M. 
Roberts; two loving daughters, Sharon Roberts, Rhonda Roberts (Arvin) all of 
Pearson, GA; two sons, Quinay Roberts, Sr., Pearson, GA, James Roberts, Jr., 
(Jennifer) Duluth, GA; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 
numerous other family members.
 Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 12, 2013, at Prayer & Praise 
Worship in Pearson, GA 31642
