Rowe, age 58, of Pearson, GA passed away Sunday morning, February 26, 2006 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Rowe was born August 2, 1947 in Ocilla, GA, son of the late Waldo Rowe and Mrs. Eloise Stephens Stone. A long time resident of Pearson, he was a Timber Broker and a member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Rowe was a charter member of Cornerstone Church in Pearson, GA. Survivors include his wife, Lynda Register Rowe of Pearson, GA; son, Larry W. Rowe, Jr. and wife Heather of Pearson, GA; daughter, Christie L. Rowe of Pearson, GA; mother Eloise Stephens Stone of Pearson, GA; brothers, Gene Sizemore and wife Mary of Pearson, GA and Henry Rowe of St. Augustine, FL; sisters, Peggy Turner and husband Paul of Hartford, Ark. and Debbie Thompkins of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren, Logan Spivey, Trey Rowe, Karagahn Courson and Avaree Rowe; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Rowe were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Cornerstone Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Marvin Goodman and Rev. Allen Arowood officiating. Special musical selections included "Wish You Were Here" rendered by soloist Danny Dawson with Francine Fender accompanying at the piano, "When I Get Where I'm Going" played by tape, "The Lighthouse" rendered by Michele Harrell, Alicia Amerson, Dee Register and Francine Fender with Francine Fender accompanying at the piano and "I Bowed On My Knees" rendered by Michele Fender, Alicia Amerson and Jason Fender with Francine Fender accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was rendered by Francine Fender, pianist. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery with military honors rendered at the graveside by an Honor Guard Contingent from Moody Air Force Base. Serving as active pallbearers were Kyler Register, Hank Sizemore, Brian McKinnon, Justin Register, Wade Sizemore, Zach Rowe. Serving as honorary pallbearers were James Lastinger, Eugene Carmichael, Bo Fender, Andrew Mincey, Jimmy Brown, Carlie Lastinger, Sr. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
