Mr. Emory M. Rowell, age 86, of Willacoochee, GA, passed away Saturday, May 1, 
1999, at Shady Acres Convalescent Center in Douglas, GA. following an extended 
illness.
 Born November 17, 1912 in Coffee Co., GA, Mr. Rowell was the son of Staten 
and Mary Jane Taylor Rowell. He was a retired security guard and a member of 
Willacoochee United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, 
Annie O'Neal Anderson Rowell.
 Survivors include: one stepson, Burnell Anderson and wife, Ruby of Douglas, 
GA; two stepdaughters, Verneil Hall and husband, Chester of Willacoochee, GA 
and Doris Yancey also of Willacoochee, GA; one sister in law, Mrs. James 
(Marvel) Rowell of Douglas, GA; two nephews, Michael Rowell of Virginia and 
James A. Rowell, Jr., of Douglas, GA; two nieces, Jane Brown and Ann Sweat, 
both of Douglas, GA; thirteen step grandchildren, ten step-great grandchildren 
and four step great-great grandchildren.
 Funeral services for Mr. Rowell were held at 3 p.m., Monday, May 3, 1999 at 
Willacoochee United Methodist Church with Rev. David Barton and Rev. David 
Rowe officiating.
  Interment followed in the Hebron Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were: Shawn Wilkerson, Bobby Shatto, Herman 
Tucker, Kenneth Hunkapiller, Gillis Carter, and Jim Rowell.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of arrangements
