Atkinson County Citizen - October 25, 2007
 Madrie W. Selph, 80, of Birmingham, Alabama and formerly of Valdosta died 
Thursday, October 18, 2007 at her home. She was born on February 25, 1927 in 
Pearson, GA to the late Coleman and Birta Keaton Wall. Mrs. Selph was a member 
of the Valleydale Baptist Church in Birmingham and a former member of the 
Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta.
 Survivors include her daughter, Fran Folsom of Birmingham, AL, two 
granddaughters, Alison Folsom and Megan Folsom both of Birmingham, AL, five 
sisters and three brothers in law, Lutra Wall of Pearson, GA, Maxine and J.L. 
Wall of Jacksonville, FL, Laura and Tom Connolly of Wilmington, NC, Amanda and 
Nick Mizell of Pearson, GA and Mary Ann Ledford of Charlotte, NC; brother, 
Truman Wall of Pearson, GA, numerous nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Selph and a brother, 
Bernard Wall.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 in the chapel 
of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas M. Reddick officiating. 
Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. 
 Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
