A native of Coffee County, GA. Mrs. Sirmans was born March 18, 1955, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James David (J.D.) and Bernadette Adams White. She enjoyed her job as secretary for Pearson Elementary School for the past 27 years. Mrs. Sirmans was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints here in the Pearson Ward, where she held numerous callings and positions in the church, but none she held any dearer than that of President of the Young Women Organization for over 10 years. Numerous lives in and around our community have been touched by Mrs. Sirmans in some way. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kelly White and one sister-in-law, Birdie White. Survivors include husband, Steve Sirmans of Pearson; two sons, Shad Sirmans and wife Whitney of Statesboro, GA, and Clee Sirmans and wife Heather of Pearson; two brothers, Buck White of Moss Point, MS and Fred White and wife Joann of Newnan, GA; sister-in-law, Lila White of Axson; seven grandchildren, Taylor Sirmans, Karrah Beth Sirmans, Hannah Rose Sirmans, Trey Tarlton, Erica Tarlton, Logan Sirmans and Ella Mae Sirmans; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Sirmans were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pearson, GA. With Elder Stacy Sirmans, Elder C.F. Sirmans and Bishop Dan Vickers officiating. The eulogy was given by nephew, David White. Special musical selections included, “I Know that my Redeemer Lives” rendered by soloist and pianist, Jessica Moore, “The Family is of God” rendered by grandchildren, nieces and nephews of Mrs. Sirmans accompanied by Ellen Hardee on the piano and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” rendered by Angie Odum accompanied by Ellen Hardee on the piano. The interment followed in Antioch Cemetery with special scripture by Mrs. Sirmans’ brother, Fred White. Special musical, “Families can be Together Forever: rendered acapella by grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The dedication of the grave was given by Mrs. Sirmans’ son, Shad Sirmans. Serving as active pallbearers were, Macky White, Dustin Wright, Taylor Sirmans, Maxwell White, Brandon Mullis, Michael Gillis. Serving as honorary pallbearers were, Pearson Elementary School Faculty and Staff, members of the Pearson Ward Relief Society and Nephews. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA.
