Atkinson County Citizen - July 6, 2006
 Mrs. Patricia Smith, age 49 of Pearson, GA. passed away June 29, 2006 at home 
following an extended illness.
 A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, Mrs. Smith was born August 7, 1956, daughter 
of the late Maurice Carl Golding, Sr. She was a school bus driver for the 
Atkinson County Board of Education.
 Survivors include her husband, Dewey Smith of Pearson, GA; two daughters, 
Heather Floyd and husband Berry of Douglas, GA and Kari Smith of Pearson, GA; 
mother, Mrs. Jessie Mae Stancil Golding, Sr., brother, Maurice Carl Golding, 
Jr. of Locust Grove, GA; four sisters, Judy Childs of LaGrange, GA, Deborah 
Umberhandt of Cornelia, GA, Gail Turner of Tifton, GA and Janice Emondson of 
TyTy, GA; and grandchild Dalton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
 A memorial service for Mrs. Smith was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 
Relihan Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Special musical 
selection included "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" played 
by tape.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
