Atkinson County Citizen - May 29, 2008
 Joseph Michael "Boxer" Smith, 56 of Richmond Hill, GA in Bryan County passed 
away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Candler Hospital, Savannah, GA.
 He  was born March 17, 1952 in Homerville, GA to the late Malcolm Smith and 
Betty Jo Nugent.
 He was the grandson of the late Jesse I. and Hattie Vickers Nugent of Atkinson 
County. He worked as a pipe fitter in construction at the time of death.
 Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two sisters; several aunts and uncles; 
and 17 first cousins.
 Cremation occurred May 30, 2008. Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory of Garden 
City, GA was in charge. Memorials may be given to the Holy Family Catholic 
Church Cemetery Fund.
