Atkinson County Citizen - June 20, 2013
 Mrs. Nellie Stone Smith, age 70, of MacClenny, FL, formerly of Atkinson County pas
passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home following an extended illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Smith was born July 27, 1942, daughter of Al
Allen and Bessie Merrier Stone. She had made her home in Jacksonville, FL for ma
many years before moving to MacClenny, FL eleven years ago. She was a homemaker an
and of the Baptist faith.
 Survivors include husband Walter C. Smith of MacClenny, FL; 3 sons Walter S
Smith, Jr. and wife Diane of Jacksonville, FL, Joey Smith and wife Lisa of M
MacClenny, FL, Marty Smith of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandch8ilodren Kyle Smith, M
Madison Smith and Brooke Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.
  Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. 
Special musical selections were “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be” and “I’ll Fly 
Away rendered by the Mt. Pleasant Church choir with Betty Smith accompanying at 
the piano. “Roses Never Fade” was played by CD. Soft music for the prelude and pos
postlude was by Betty Smith, pianist.
 The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Jerry Stone, Gene Forbes, Donnie Davis, Tom Rogers, D
Daniel McIntosh, David Osborne.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
