Atkinson County Citizen - January 9, 2014
 Ms. Christy Leverette Smith, age 55, of Ambrose, GA passed away Saturday, 
December 28, 2013, at the home of her daughter following an extended illness.
 Born September 26, 1958, in Coffee County, Christy was the daughter of Bobby 
and Elise Harrell Leverette. She along with her sister, Denise owned and 
operated an interior design business. She was well known for her work ethic and 
her last job before she got to sick to work was restoring the stained glass 
windows in the Ambrose Christian Church of which she was a member. 
 Survivors include, daughter, Amy Ables and husband, Chad of Douglas, GA; son, 
Nick Harper and wife Jessica of Ambrose, GA; parents, Bobby ad Elsie Leverette 
Ambrose, GA; sister, Denise Paulk and husband Dan of Ambrose, GA; 2 brothers, 
Clarkie Leverette and wife Dinah of Ambrose, GA, Britt Leverette and wife Edy of 
Willacoochee, GA; 4 grandchildren, Raven Ables, Seth Ables, Sam Ables and 
Griphyn Harper; several nieces, a nephew, cousins and other relatives also 
survive.
 Memorial services for Christy were held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, 
at the Ambrose Christian Church with Rev. Sam Decasper and Rev. Doralyn Paulk 
officiating. Special musical selections included “When I Get Where I’m Going” 
and “I Can Only Image” rendered by CD and “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone” 
was rendered by the attending congregation with CD accompaniment.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
