Mrs. Spikes a native of Coffee Co., GA was born October 24, 1907 daughter of the late Sid & Mary Corbitt White. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Charlie Spikes. She was preceded in death by three sons, John Henry Spikes, Charlie Spikes, Jr. and Harvey Allen Spikes, Sr. Survivors include one daughter, Beulah Tomlinson of Pearson, GA; one son, J. C. Spikes of Fitzgerald, GA; two brothers, Ethridge White of Clarksville, TN and Bankston White of Savannah, GA; three sisters, Anna Lou Reeves of West Palm Beach, FL, Ruth Jefferson of Willacoochee, GA and Mary Effie Courson of Douglas, GA; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1995 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Futch and Rev. Ronald Rhymes officiating. The interment followed in the New Bethel Cemetery.
