Leon Spivey, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1967 at the Coffee county Hospital 
following an extended illness. A resident of Willacoochee, he was the son of 
the late Henry M. and Cathryn Nugent Spivey.
 Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Holy Family Church with 
Father Leo Wetzel officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
 Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtice O'Neal Moore Spivey; 5 sons: Henry 
Spivey, Atlanta; Allen Spivey, Douglas; Quitman Spivey, Douglas; Charlie 
Spivey, Johnnie "Buddy" Spivey, all of Douglas; 4 step-daughters: Mrs. Nolan 
Ragsdale, Douglas; Mrs. Gordon Williams, Douglas; Mrs. Ruth Sibley, Douglas; 
Mrs. Kathryn Parks, Jacksonville, FL; 1 stepson: Sgt. Joseph B. Moore, Warner 
Robins: 3 sisters: Mrs. Sarah Edge, Orlando,FL, Mrs. Lucinda Seigler, 
Stockton; Mrs. Kathryn Lott, Douglas; 1 Brother: Henry B. Spivey, Pearson; 1 
half-sister: Mrs. Ruth Whaley, Jacksonville, FL; 29 grandchildren, 9 great 
grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were his grandsons: Jerry Allen Spivey, James Calvin Spivey, 
Allen William, James Charles Spivey, Danny Spivey, Joseph Q. Spivey.
 Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
