Mrs. Spivey was born in Coffee County, March 5, 1963, daughter of J. W. O'Neal and the late Mavis Williams O'Neal. A native of Atkinson County, she was a former employee of PCC Airfoils as an X-Ray film reader. Mrs. Spivey was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother J. W. "Buddy" O'Neal III. Survivors include her husband, Michael Spivey of Pearson, GA; two daughters, Nicole Spivey and Kaitlin Spivey of Pearson, GA; father and stepmother, J. W. "Bud" and Jimmie O'Neal Jr. of Willacoochee, GA; one sister, Peggy Miller and husband, Duaine of Douglas, GA; one stepsister, Evie Mixon and husband, Tim of Willacoochee, GA; and one stepbrother; Stevie O'Neal of Willacoochee, GA. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive, including Brandon and Ashton Miller. Funeral services for Mrs. Spivey were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Swafford and Rev. Carroll Carver officiating. Special musical selections included, "Just a Prayer Away" and "I've Come To Praise You" rendered by soloist, Jennifer Spivey with taped accompaniment. Soft taped accompaniment. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Susan Spivey, pianist. The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery with "Amazing Grace" sung at the graveside. Serving as active pallbearers were Tullis Allen, Kyle Spivey, Phil Liles, Hampton Giddens, Scotty Souther and Timmy Stinson. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
