RUTH STEPHENS---
 Ruth Stephens, 86, of Willacoochee died Nov. 29, 1999 at Tift General 
Hospital in Tifton. Born 1-14-1913 in a part of Coffee Co., that is now 
Atkinson Co. to the late Ruben and Bessie Summerlin Davis, she was a homemaker 
and attended St. Luke Baptist Church. She was married to the late John 
Stephens. 
 Survivors include five sons, Arthur Stephens of Ferndale, FL; John Stephens, 
Jr. of Center Hill, FL; Russell Stephens of Elberton; Ronald Gene Stephens and 
Donald Ray Stephens, both of Nashville; six daughters, Evelyn Beverly of 
Oakland, FL; Beatrice Beverly of Winter Garden, FL; Parsy Casselman of 
Kernersville, NC, Linda Staggs of Winter Garden, FL; Myrtle Casselman of St. 
Stephen, SC; Joyce Wilkerson of Douglas; 44 grandchildren, 44 great 
grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church with 
Rev. Clayton Davis officiating. Musical selections sung by Pat Beverley 
included "at the crossing" and "I'll see you in the Rapture."
 Interment was in St. Luke Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Russell Stephens, Jr.; Roy Lee Wilkerson, Edward Stephens, 
Gary Stephens, Danny Beverley, Wesley Casselman.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of arrangements.
