Durden http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00025.html#0006039 May 27, 2008, 11:23 pm The Atkinson County Citizen, Pearson, GA Mrs. Othelee McDonald Stone, age 79, of Alapaha, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2001, at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia following an extended illness. Mrs. Stone, a native of Coffee County, Georgia was born January 29, 1922, the daughter of the late Tommie and Rebecca Vickers McDonald. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Hewey Stone. Her church membership was at the Lax Holiness Baptist Church. Survivors include: daughter: Annette Padgett of Alapaha, GA; sister, Essie Mae Myers of Ambrose, GA; brother, Willie J. McDonald of Willacoochee, GA, nieces and nephews. Brother, Leston McDonald preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2001, at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church in Alapaha, GA with Rev. Glen Fussell officiating. Special music was provided by Natalie Underwood and Lisa Frazier as they sang "Amazing Grace"; also a taped selection of "Go Rest High on That Mountain". Burial followed at the Mt. Paron Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Thomas Heath, Dennis Paulk, Lamon McDonald, Jr., Trevor Carter, Vison Griffin and Bobby Wood. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
