Atkinson County Citizen - November 20, 2008
  Mr. Johnson Stone, age 64, of Pearson, GA passed away Tuesday, November 11, 
2008 at Sunbridge Care and Rehab Center in Hazlehurst, GA following a short 
illness.
  A native of Coffee County, Mr. Stone was born September 14, 1944, son of 
Lemar and Beady Smith Stone. He attended Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church 
and was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Maretha Montez Stone. 
Survivors include several cousins.
 Funeral services for Mr. Stone were held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2008 
at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Ed Gilliard 
officiating. Special musical selections included, "Mansions Over the Hilltop" 
and "Amazing Grave" rendered by the Mt. Pleasant Church Choir with Shellie 
Smith accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and postlude was 
provided by Shellie Smith, pianist. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant 
Church Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Dale Davis, Jerry Stone, Henry Smith, Jr., 
Charlie Vining, Tim Smith, Allie Purvis.
 Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
