A native of Alma, GA, Mr. Stone was born November 10, 1941 son of William H. J Jr. and Lillian Youngblood Stone. He had previously worked at Atkinson County R Road Dept. SWMA, Atkinson County Sheriff's Dept. and Pearson Police Dept. He w was a member of Covenant Outreach Ministries. Survivors include, wife, Annie Mae Stone of Pearson, GA; 3 sons and wife Angie of Pearson, GA, Ricky Stone of Pearson, GA, Randy Stone and wife Sue of Pearson, GA; 4 daughters, Clarine Lott and husband Ricky of West Green, GA, Sharon Stone and friend Donnie Warren of Nashville, GA, Robin Gurley and husband Stanley of Pearson, GA, Patricia Thomas and husband Ricky of Pearson; 4 brothers, W.H. Stone of Willacoochee, GA, Eddie Stone of wife Minnie of Pearson, GA, Bobby Stone of Pearson, GA, Ronald Stone and wife Jean of Lakeland, GA, sister, Donna Spikes and husband Winston of Ocilla, GA; 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Stone were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at at Covenant Outreach Ministries in Pearson, GA. with Rev. Robert Spivey and Re Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. Special musical selections included "Will the Ci Circle be Unbroken" and "Where Jesus Is" rendered by CD, "Lord Don't Move that Mo Mountain" rendered by Donna Bennett accompanied by CD, "Amazing Grace" rendered by by Penny James accompanied by CD, "In the Arms of the Angels" rendered by St Stanley Gurley on the guitar, and "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord" rendered by Ju Justin Spivey on the keyboard. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was pr provided by Justin Spivey, keyboardist. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Pal Bennett, Tony Allen, Bobby Corbitt, Jeff Chaney, Jimmy Amerson, J.E. Smith. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
