Born March 22, 1935 in Adel, GA Mrs. Suggs was the daughter of David and Emily Moore Moore McIntyre. She was a homemaker and a member of the Willacoochee Church of God. S God. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rosie Courdle Gaskins and a daught daughter Marjorie Suggs. Survivors include husband, John R. Suggs of Nashville, GA; 4 sons, Freddy Suggs Suggs and wife Brenda of Nashville, GA, Johnny Suggs and wife Sherry of Black Blackshear, GA, Jerry Suggs of Willacoochee, GA, James Suggs and Margie Black of Do of Douglas, GA; 4 daughters , Margaret Conger and husband Junior of Willa Willacoochee, GA, Marsha Suggs and Charles Jewell of Willacoochee, GA, Cinde Cinderella Yawn and husband Jerry of Ocilla, GA, Mattie Courdle and husband Eugen Eugene of Willacoochee, GA; sisters, Inez Newbrough of Chula, Missouri Ruby Baker Baker of Hahira, GA; 2 half sisters, Deborah Cason of Barney, GA, Linda Dodd of Cecil Cecil, GA; 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephe nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Suggs were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at t at the Willacoochee Church of God with Rev. Levi Jones officiating. Special musi musical selections included, "Getting Ready to Leave This World," "I Feel Like Trav Traveling On," "The Old Gospel Ship," and "I'll Fly Away" rendered by the atte attending congregation with Eugene Courdle and James Larry Courdle on the guit guitar. Soft music for the prelude and the postlude was played by James and Euge Eugene Courdle on guitar. The interment followed in St. Luke Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Kevin Conger, Timbo Conger, Randy Suggs, Bu Bubba Yawn, Marshall Courdle, Jasper Suggs, Michael Suggs, James Suggs. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Harrell, Justin Christman. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
