Atkinson County Citizen - August 3, 2006
 Mrs. Sarah Summerlin, age 89, of Pearson, GA passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 
at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
 Mrs. Summerlin was born January 15, 1917, in Nansmound County, VA daughter of 
John James and Isabell Lowe Copeland. She previously resided in Virginia, 
before settling in Pearson several years ago. Mrs. Summerlin was a member of 
the United Methodist Church in Pearson, and a member of the disable Veteran's 
Auxillary.
 Survivors include husband, James C. Summerlin, Jr. of Pearson, GA; sons, Carl 
Bundy of Florida and Johnny Bundy of Tennessee; daughter, Carolyn Guernsey and 
husband, Leonard; three sisters, Evelyn Jones, Vivian Windborne and husband, 
Harry and Millie Hedgepeth; brother-in-law, Buddy Carr, sister-in-law, Margie 
Copeland; 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews also survive.
 Memorial and interment services will be held at a later date in Suffork, VA. 
Memorialization was by cremation.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
