Atkinson County Citizen - December 7, 2006
Gainesville, FL -- Lee Etta McNeal Summerlin, age 77, of Gainesville, FL passed 
away Thursday, November 23, 2006 after an extended illness at the home of her 
son in Ocala, FL.
 Mrs. Summerlin was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 27, 1929 to Mrs. Pinkie 
J. McNeal and was raised in Pearson, GA until the time of her marriage to 
Newbern Summerlin on November 20, 1946. She graduated from Pearson High School 
in 1946.
 Mrs. Summerlin was preceded in death by her husband, Newbern Summerlin in 
1998. Survivors include her 3 children, Linda Summerlin Dodd of Gainesville; 
Bejie Summerlin Wilson of Thomasville, GA and Newbern Craig Summerlin of Ocala; 
8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, David McNeal of Tampa 
and Kary McNeal of Carrollton, GA.
