Atkinson County Citizen - October 25, 2007
  Mrs. Mamie Lee Vining Summerlin, age 61, of Pearson, GA passed away Friday, 
October 19, 2007 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an 
extended illness.
  A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Summerlin was born December 18, 1945, 
daughter of George and Myrtice Rowe Vining. She was a seamstress at Gaskins 
Garment for many years. and attended Pearson Church of God of Prophecy. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Summerlin.
 Survivors include 3 sons; Mack Summerlin and wife, Sandra of Pearson, GA, 
Donald Summerlin and wife Charlene of Douglas, GA, Ronald Summerlin and wife, 
Angela of Douglas, GA; 3 brothers, Gary Vining of Jacksonville, FL, J.H. Vining 
of Jacksonville, FL, Vince Vining of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters, Eloise Delk 
of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Vining of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Summerlin were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, 
October 21, 2007 at Sunnyside Church Cemetery, in Kirkland, GA with Rev. Harold 
Barnes, and Rev. Barry Peavy officiating. Special musical selections 
included, "Amazing Grace," "I'm a Winner Either Way" and "The Robe," rendered 
acapella by the Barnes Sisters. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Ashley McKinnon, Jake Bowen, Lee Lewis, Tim 
Lewis, Wilbur Lee Lewis, Wayne Lewis.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
